I just purchased a Fuji Platinum Q5 GXPC turbine sprayer to replace my clunky and loud 35 gallon air compressor setup... HOLY COW, where has this been all my life? It's so quiet that I can now spray anytime I want (about the volume of an old microwave oven!), and sprays so nicely. In addition to that, I'd estimate that Im using at least 60% less finish to achieve the same coating I was with the old setup! It's also about the size of a large lunchbox, so now I have room for more tools! Less fumes, less noise, less finish, less space, and a better finish makes for a happy man! It was pricy, but my commission wait list has backed up to over a year long so it was time to make the upgrade. If any of you have tossed around the idea of going to a turbine sprayer... DO IT! http://www.paintsprayersplus.com/produc ... rayer.html |

I've heard great things about Fuji turbines. Didn't know there was a Q5. I was about to commit to the q4 when I decided to contract out instead. |

They just came out with it. The main difference between it and the Q4 is it has 9.5psi and adjustable airflow rates. |

I'm still using an older FujiQ3. Works just fine. I hate it when they come out with new models!!!!!!About a year ago a friend gave me his new Fuji gravity feed gun because he could not stop it from leaking out the top. He replaced it with a Sata I think, and loves it. I admit they have a Pxxx poor cap on that gravity Fuji cup. I ended buying another brand new cup, and if I keep it cleaner than clean, it usually does not leak. The difference between gravity feed and a siphon cup is unbelievable. I now use my bottom cup only on the base coats. I call it my spatter gun. Probably would be good for flocking Christmas trees. And, I used to think that was a good gun. The gravity feed is really cool for finish coats. |

And if you click on the Amazon link above, you can find them there as well. Got my Minimite 4 with the t75 gravity feed gun. The Sata has been collecting dust since. I'm sure the Q-series are quieter, but even the Minimite is silent compared to a compressor. Bob, they sell the gravity feed gasket kit (which I got sent free after doing a review online at Amazon). May take care of the top leak. . . Chris, getting a T75 gun may be the next step for you. If I'm correct, it has a 50% greater cup size (600cc) vs the XPC gun (400cc). |
